Gagne and Son is a, family-owned manufacturing and retail business, founded in 1945.
We have grown to 7 store locations from Holden to Kittery Role and Responsibilities The Payroll and Human Resources Administrator performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
Review and ensure accurate time clock punches and time off requests, Year-end reconciliations (W-2, 1095-C's, 1099, and accompanying schedules), Preparing and completing payroll weekly, Onboarding new employees, Administering employee benefit plans, Facilitating employee new-hire screenings, Manage filings/communication for Worker's Comp, Unemployment, Department of Labor, etc.
, Schedule and maintain records for driver recertification, Process overhead AP (confidential) invoices, Post open positions, Conduct 90-day new hire check-in interviews, Screen all qualified applicants, Prepare offer letters, Create reports as needed for payroll expenses analysis, Provide state with new hire information, Maintain State reporting requirements for CDL drivers, Run Annual Driving Record review for all employees that operate a company vehicle, Assist with Visa (H2B) Application process, as needed, Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements At least 3 years of Human Resources experience in a business office required.
Understanding of Federal and State regulations that are relevant to the payroll reporting process.
Computer literacy, aptitude, and ability to learn specialized computer software systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and general discretion.
Detail oriented, time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
